New in the SOPERA Release 3.2
Integration of services in heterogeneous environments
The open source SOA platform SOPERA ASF boasts extensive integration functionality. With the current Release 3.2, the SOA suite now also offers an integration component for Talend Open Studio, the leading Open Source software for data integration. SOPERA users thus have access to a large number of the adapters integrated in Talend Open Studio. With them they can successfully connect business applications, business intelligence systems or data bases “out-of-the-box”. SOPERA ASF thus again facilitates integration of already existing and heterogeneous environments. For businesses, the cooperation between Talend and SOPERA also means an opportunity to build up and structure a distributed integration environment free of license costs.
Service Management with Auto-Discovery
SOPERA ASF has interfaces at its disposal to effectively monitor the operation of an SOA. That service management has been extended with Release 3.2 by an interface to SOPERA HQ, the multiple prize-winning open source solution for system management and monitoring. SOPERA HQ installs itself within a few minutes, analyses the existing environment automatically and immediately delivers the parameters for more than 70 different technologies. The Auto Discovery capabilities of SOPERA HQ simplify implementation of sophisticated system management substantially. The SOA infrastructure can also be monitored conveniently. Another benefit: Via the central SOPERA HQ control console, the parameters for the SOPERA key service indicators can also be managed conveniently.
Support for new systems and security standards
Beside the functional expansion in terms of data integration and system management and monitoring, Release 3.2 also boasts other new features. As a further plug-in, for instance, SOPERA ASF now also integrates Apache ActiveMQ, a leading open source messaging server. Also new is the support for Java 6, the 64-bit versions of Windows and Linux, version 5.2 of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows Vista. As regards the security concept, the integration of the “Eclipse Higgens SAML Token Service” standard offers users extensive backup facilities with a centralized token service. The messaging has also been enhanced still further in terms of security and robustness.
