Microsoft and SOPERA have worked together in the past on the interoperability between Java SOA and .NET SOA. That is important because .NET and Java are the core platform at many major enterprises today, and interoperability between both worlds is the central customer problem. As a result, SOPERA ASF .NET today offers a mature Open Source solution for enterprises based upon Microsoft WCF.  This solution is already in operation at Deutsche Post.
