Microsoft and SOPERA have worked together in the past on the interoperability between Java SOA and .NET SOA. That is important because .NET and Java are the core platform at many major enterprises today, and interoperability between both worlds is the central customer problem. As a result, SOPERA ASF .NET today offers a mature Open Source solution for enterprises based upon Microsoft WCF.  This solution is already in operation at Deutsche Post. Both companies also work closely together in the area of Cloud Computing and only recently presented the “Internet Service Bus” at the CeBIT based on a demonstrator within the context of the interoperability project group work of the “Open Source Business Foundation” together with OX, Corisecio and 1&1. Microsoft and SOPERA are planning to build on their cooperation in the area of SOA and Cloud Computing/Microsoft Azure.
