Trigger for the founding of SOPERA in March 2007 was the strategic decision taken by Deutsche Post to make its SOA platform available as open source also to other users. The level of maturity the platform had reached and the great interest on the market were the decisive factors. Now independent of Deutsche Post, SOPERA GmbH has since then continued to drive development of the platform within the Open Source Community, Eclipse, which is acknowledged worldwide.
Managing directors of the Bonn-based SOA specialist are Dr. Ricco Deutscher and Harald Weimer.
