The Interoperability Project Group from Europe’s open-source network, the Open Source Business Foundation, has successfully completed its first project to co-develop a platform – an Internet Service Bus (ISB) - for secure cloud computing. Numerous members cooperated on the ISB, which is based on Sopera ASF, an open-source SOA platform which integrates Java as well as .Net applications as services.

The new Galileo simultaneous release consisting different Eclipse projects includes a runtime component, dubbed Swordfish, that provides an expandable framework for service-oriented architecture (SOA). InformationWeek – the outlook is cloudy
By 2011, a quarter of all business applications will be to cloud-based. The basis for the interoperability this requires is being creating by a new OSBF project which makes data from various sources accessible via an Internet Service Bus.
