Main Functions of the Job

  • As part of the professional service (PS) team support customer and prospects to develop their projects with SOPERA.
  • Take ownership of projects and drive these projects.
  • As part of the PS-team collect feedback from the customer prospects to enhance the product.
  • Develop best practice document and examples.

Main Qualifications / Experience 

  • A minimum of 5 years industry experience.
  • This experience should primarily involve active software development, preferably in all stages of a development lifecycle.
  • Excellent knowledge of working with Java, knowledge of a further contemporary programming language preferable.
  • Familiar with creating extensible, object-oriented designs.
  • Good knowledge on the design principles of SOA systems.
  • Good understanding of XML and WebServices standards.
  • Good knowledge on Webservice stack like CXF.
  • Good knowledge in Camel and ActiveMQ.
    Good understanding of Java Frameworks like Hibernate, Eclipselink or Spring.
  • Experience of both Unix and Windows platforms.

Optional, but a definitive plus:
Familiarity with middleware and / or repository technology.

Personal Attributes / Skills 

  • Diploma/degree in computer related discipline.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, in writing and orally in both English and German.
  • Ability to quickly familiarize with new topics.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision within an experienced and focused team.
  • Basic presentation and training skills.
  • Must be comfortable with working in an agile project environment.
