Swordfish: The Eclipse SOA Runtime Framework

Swordfish is the codename of a project initiated by SOPERA within the Eclipse Foundation’s runtime technology initiative. The aim is to build on Eclipse’s tried-and-trusted Equinox base technology and the current SOPERA ESB code base to create a new, flexible, upgradeable framework which can be used to develop SOA applications quickly and easily in a wide variety of runtime environments. Once the incubation stage is complete, the project will publish regular releases, and this will simultaneously also form the core of the SOPERA ESB. Since June 2009 Swordfish is part of the latest release by the Eclipse community, “Galileo”.
