Fuelled by a strong demand in downloads and growth in excess of 100% in annual subscription fees, SOPERA is expanding its Marketing, Sales, and Development operations in Europe and North America to address the growing global demand for its Open Source Integration Solutions. Core to its expansion strategy is not only the continuation of providing global enterprise support services for SOPERA’s ASF suite, but also now the offering of enterprise support for the market-leading Apache projects ServiceMix, Camel, CXF and ActiveMQ, which have been core components of the ASF solutions since its inception.
SOPERA’s ASF suite provides comprehensive solutions for application integration business process management, messaging and SOA governance. Based on leading open source projects of Eclipse and Apache, SOPERA has developed an open vendor neutral integration platform that eliminates software license fees, but ensures professional enterprise customer support and product enhancements via an annual subscription model. Many of our large enterprise customers, such as DHL, have reduced their software integration costs by up to 70% compared to traditional software offerings.

For our US and UK operations we want to fill the following positions:
Sales Representative – Software (Boston - Los Angeles)
Sopera is looking for experienced upbeat, focused and well-organized individuals to join the Sales Team selling the Sopera portfolio. A Sopera subscription offers a unique combination of enterprise-class software, support, and sophisticated management tools, making it a must-have for enterprise-level deployments and mission-critical applications. The Sales representative will work with prospects to create and sell customized packages of subscriptions, training and consulting, to help our enterprise customers maximize the value of their Sopera deployments.
A successful candidate will be comfortable making dozens of calls a day – primarily to an audience consisting of IT developers and architects – generating interest, qualifying prospects, building solutions and closing sales of $15K to $150K. He/she will also have demonstrated experience prospecting and growing an account list, as well as closing sales in a rapidly growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the sales process from prospecting to closing
- Outbound prospecting and warm lead follow up
- Consultative selling
- Manage forecasts/track customer data using company CRM tools
- Articulate advanced product features and benefits of Sopera Products
- Close sales and achieve quarterly sales quota
- Understand customer needs and requirements
- BA/BS degree
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Ability to manage entire sales process from prospecting through close
- Experience in closing deals in the $15K-$150K range
- Proven track record in inside sales, ability to exceed quarterly quota
- Strong administrative, detail management and CRM skills
- Ability to perform well in high activity, dynamic environment
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals with a serious work ethic
